This tale is one of glamour – a Concours d’elegance of sorts! A pair of Whitehalls transporting the Bridal Party to a beach wedding is rather a different proposition than a hundred mile jaunt through the D’Entrecasteux Channel but a very pleasurable outing for the rowers and a demonstration of versatility for the Whitehalls!
The venue for the wedding was the beach below the Yacht Club lawns in the small fishing hamlet of Coffin Bay, west of Port Lincoln. The weather was perfect for the occasion and to have the Bridal Party arrive from seaward, shaded under lace parasols and sitting in the stern sheets of a pair of beautiful Whitehalls was a unique touch. I’m lost for words, so I’ll let the pictures complete the tale!
